Lake Huron

If you like clouds and water, this is the place to go. How many cloud pictures of clouds and water did I take?  Too many, but here is the best of them.  It's hard to believe this beautiful place is just a little over two hours away from us. We were blessed with good weather. A bit chilly, but it was nice to be on the beach and be very comfortable. The weather got progressively warmer, so we used the first day to go up the coast on an adventure. We went to a state park, a lighthouse and a the "dinosaur park". The following days we remained on the beach and visited with grandparents. The pictures are all out of order, but you get the idea sun, clouds, sand, water and fun.

Wow! Love the reflection of the clouds on the shore!

so excited to fly the kite himself

ignoring the tantruming child
Luke was too crabby at the time being, but a great picture of the two of us

daring Luke had to see if anything was in his mouth, "oh, just water"

They really wanted to climb on them, all of them had large signs not to climb on them.  But, this one looked pretty sturdy (they are made of cement) and was far in the back, so we allowed them to climb on this one, as you can see they were excited
They were looking for "buddy on dinosaur train"  they were disappointed this did not look like buddy, "it's not orange with blue spots" says Luke

Happy Birthday Theresa!

Theresa has watched the boys since they were born. In the fall, she will be working at St. Joe's as nurse. We will miss her as our regular sitter. But since she works 3, 12 hour days, there is still a chance she will be able to sit occasionally. Whew!

The Dam Park

It's sounds pretty funny when it's time to go the "dam park".  But that's its name in our house, as the main focus is the dam.  Throwing rocks into water never, never gets old.  I'm surprised there are any rocks left at the park.

Running to get more rocks

Empty Canvas

We went to see my uncle's band perform at the Buy Michigan Now festival in Northville. This is the first time I have seen them perform outside of family functions. The kids enjoyed it, since they knew him and Alexandria well from the time at the lake they spent with them. They sing and paint a picture by the end of the show. People in the audience participated this time, Kris included. My cousins recently began to go up and sing a song with them. They are getting really good!

Hummingbird

This is a once in life time opportunity. Just happened to be in the right place at the right time to get this shot.

Maker Faire

I thought the boys would be bored at this fair, but I was very wrong.  They loved it and asked to go back the next day.  We were very lucky the rain held off.

Making his own car with dad's help

Luke and Alex racing the cars they made, Alex's won because dad helped him, sorry Luke I don't I'm not experienced with these thing, nor did I know we were constructing them for a race

This cupcake had a bike type think in it so it ran around

These poor guys had no idea that a 3 and 5 year old could produce so many questions, I think the other is trying to avoid them

Yep, you guessed it, my children were not climbing into this thing

Who knew circuit boards were so interesting

Did I say very interesting...
