Easter 2013

Easter Sunday was a busy day. We woke up to find baskets and eggs. We had a relaxing morning and went to one o'clock mass. Alex and I headed over to Grandpa and Grandma Porters to visit those that were there while Luke was napping and then headed to Grandpa Phibbs with the family for dinner. We came home and were suppose to head to bed, but the weather (and the light) was so nice that pictures and a bonfire was needed. I haven't taken pictures of the kids outside without being all bundled up (my favorite way to photograph them) for awhile. It was a fun way to end the day.

Egg Dying

Kris took the photos, so I could just enjoy playing with my kids. Every year, this lasts a little longer. Alex worked on them for an hour and a half with me. He was said when they were all done and they are still in our refrigerator two weeks later. I need to throw them out while he is sleeping.

Yes, if Kris is taking the pictures, pictures of cats are in the mix, never the case with me

One of the First Flowers

Zoo Trip

We went to the Toledo Zoo with the Wolnys on Good Friday. I had the day off and Alex had to go to school, which worked out really well since Alex does not like the zoo. So, Luke and I had a nice relaxing trip to the zoo. We don't get many chances to go out by ourselves. It was a great trip.

I stole this from Barb's blog.  Thanks Barb!  I didn't take many pictures.

The only picture I took, sometimes it's good just to enjoy the trip and not get wrapped up in taking pictures

Science Experiments

Grandpa Phibbs got Alex science experiment kits for his birthday. He really enjoys them (and Luke does too).
Dancing raisins, pretty exciting

bubbles and a very important lesson about the difference between sucking and blowing
