New Fun Things

Alex LOVES his bouncy chair. A good time is always had, with bouncing, spinning, singing, and laughing! It keeps him busy while mom does chores in the kitchen or maybe tries to get a little scrapbooking in.

He is enjoying more activities sitting up. He still needs some support, but is getting much stronger and enjoying the new perspective while playing.

Oh yes, he has a new love for reaching out to touch the kitties. Lily wants nothing to do with it, but Tess is much more tolerant of little baby "pets". Oh, my baby is getting so big! He has transformed from a newborn to an infant these past couple of weeks.

Grandpa Phibbs Babysitting

Alex's grandparents often watch him while mom and dad go to church. Mom and dad can attend without caring for Alex's needs and grandparents get a weekly opportunity to enjoy Alex for a couple of hours.

A Step Closer To Independence

Alex spent the first night in his room last night, a sad night for mom. I have spent many nights with Alex near me. It was strange not to have him within constant view. I got up multiple times just to check on him. I thought it was going to be a long, grueling process to get him adjusted to his crib at night, but I was wrong. He fell asleep on his own with no tears and slept nearly twelve hours that night (with two snack breaks). Here is a picture of Alex after his night in the crib.

Summer Air

Alex loves to go outside. He loves to look at the trees as we go on our daily walks. He is in constant awe as he looks up and then eventually drifts off to sleep. He can take in even more now that he can face forward.

Yesterday daddy turned in his sports cars for a more family friendly vehicle. (Don't feel too sorry for him, his new car has plenty of bells and whistles to keep him entertained.) Alex enjoys his first and last time to lounge in daddy's car.
