Luke is Baptized

Luke was baptized yesterday, on Father's Day. We all got to see and spend time with our dad's together. I don't have many pictures, these are the few I have. I'll have to post more when I get a them from others.

He was asleep and was so startled by the cold water, he almost did a back flip into the water, hence the smiles from everyone.

My handsome Alex

The cake I made for Luke, it came out great with all my mom's secret ingredients. I even tried a new trick and made it half yellow, half chocolate.

The Farm at Kensington Metropark

Today we went to see the farm animals with Theresa, Veronica, Dominic, and Theresa's friend Anne Marie. It was actually the first time I have ever gone there. I'm sure we will go again soon. The park is huge, with lots to do. It's nice that you can get in with your annual metro park pass and not have to pay extra to get into the farm. An area petting farm charges five dollars a person. Alex typically looses interest in under an hour, so the fifteen dollars is hardly worth it.

Made a Friend

One of Alex's favorite toys is his Duplos. He has become more independent playing with these now and often uses this activity to busy himself while I'm feeding Luke. As, you can imagine he required daddy's help to build this guy, but he did alot of the stacking of the blocks. It's funny because it ties into his current favorite book "Fox Makes Friends", in which the fox thinks that making friends is actually building things that resemble animals out of odds and ends.

Playing with Great Grandma

Great Grandma came over last Friday for dinner. Alex showed her all his favorite toys. He even allowed her to read him his bed time stories. It's pretty rare that Alex allows anyone other than mommy and daddy to read to him (he's very particular about his routine). So, it was great to see.

During the Day with Mommy

Playing with Alex's all time favorite toy for the first year of his life. I'm surprised how easily Alex allows Luke to "play" with it.

Luke loves to look at Alex. He is such great entertainment. Luke is easily bored and fussy when Alex is not around. Just this week, Luke began to smile when Alex comes by.

Well two months down and its gets easier each day (for the most part). But, I definitely have my hands full with two boys. It definitely more than doubles the work by adding another and I'm pretty convinced that it doesn't matter at this point whether it would make a difference is I had two others. Lack of sleep is lack of sleep and crazy is crazy. I just keep thinking about next summer, I'll have both of them running around and then it will be a different kind of crazy and hopefully minus the lack of sleep.

More Two Month Pics

First smile captured!

At two months Luke is fourteen pounds (95th percentile) and twenty-three inches (50th percentlile. His head size is currently in the 75th percentile.

Two Months - the Line-up

Luke- 2 months

Alex - 2 months

Yep, I'm pretty convinced Luke is a bigger boy than Alex, even though Alex was two pounds heavier when he was born. They are wearing the same onezie and laying on the same blanket. Thanks to Luke's great eating skills, it looks as if he surpassed Alex weight wise. He gets weighed in on Monday. I can't wait to see what the number is. He is so close to growing out of the 3-6 mo. clothes. Yah, he has only worn them for the past two weeks.

Leslie Nature Center Revisited

Last Sunday we visited another of last summer favorite places . Its fun to return to these places and think about how much my life has changed since I was last there. Alex likes to look at all the animals and explore the gardens. Luke enjoyed the fresh air while he napped.
