Getting So Big

Alex went to the doctor today for his two month check-up. He now weighs 12 pounds, 2 ounces and is 23 and a half inches long. He continues to be in the 75 percentile for weight and height and his head size is in the 95 percentile. It was our first venture out alone together and we managed just fine. Alex is so laid back. He screamed for his shots but was comforted as soon as he was back in mom's arms.

Each month I am taking a picture of Alex in the same 12 month size onesie. These pictures will look great in a collage frame. I am sure we all like looking back at how small he really was.

Alex has just begun to intentionally reach for objects and open and close his hands. He just can't grab a hold of things yet, but I am sure it will be soon.

Alex's First Walk

With the weather in the 60's Alex got to venture out of the house for something other than doctor's appointments or visiting grandparents. He slept right through his walk and woke up as soon as we came in. I think he enjoyed it!

Growing Bigger Every Day

Alex went to the doctor yesterday and now weighs 10 pounds, 2 ounces. He is 22 inches long and 75th percentile for his head size. Mom went to the doctor also to see if surgery was needed to repair her separated abdominal muscles and possible hernia. Luckily, surgery is not needed at this time. He would like to see how much healing they can do on their own and will see me back in eight weeks. I don't have any restrictions, so I can go about caring for Alex and exercising as I please. Whew!
