Halloween 2009

The costumes were throw together last minute, thanks to all the trouble baby Phibbs has been causing me. But, they came out pretty good in the end. Only spent five dollars (just sewed the felt onto one of Alex's sweat suits) on Alex's and nine (eye patch and bandanna) on Kris' costume. Guess it pays sometimes to wait until the last minute. We only went to seven houses, but Alex was totally into it this year. He got the hang of it quickly. He was knocking on doors and taking candy and putting it his bag. He loved watching the other people walking by and saying hi to people when they opened their doors. He saw lots of dogs that were dressed up too, which he thought was pretty funny. Alex even did a little dance when we poured all his candy on the floor once we were home. He never even ate a piece that night. He just loved the concept of collecting the pieces and putting them in his bag. It was great fun!

My Kitty is so Fluffy

Alex loves to hug Lily. He especially loves to put his head on her. For some reason she tolerates it. She is stuborn and set on the fact that she will sleep on the couch. That has always been her place to sleep and she is sticking to it, even if there are disruptions. The only time she runs away is if Alex picks something up. She runs in fear that the object may be thrown at her. But she will be back as soon as Alex moves on to something else. She never attempts to scratch or bite him, just an occasional hiss which I am trying to teach Alex means "no more".

The Pumpkin Patch

We took a short trip to the pumpkin patch down the street from our home. It was a bit chilly, but we made it quick. We managed to loose Alex's mitten already, bummer. We plan on carving them tomorrow at our annual pumpkin carving party with my siblings and cousin.

Monday Morning with Mommy

Alex likes to talk on the phone or pretend he is talking on the phone. If a phone is not around he has been known to use the remote, a plug stip or anything in the shape of a phone.

Check out the moose feet pajamas. So cute! He just loves them.

Cookies!

Well, Alex has learned what cookies are! Ha, only that they come out of the oven though. His third cookie of his life and all three times they have come out of the oven. Hasn't learned they dwell in cupboards too! Or in grocery stores!

Big News!

Yep, it's true, baby Phibbs #2 is expected around May 4th. Pregnancy is treating me pretty well. I have had some sick days, but have found if I get a good night sleep, keep well hydrated and make sure my stomach never hits empty, I do pretty well. Which has been easy while I am working, but a bit of a challenge when I am home chasing after Alex. But we have adjusted, he just snacks a little more, but its all healthy food, so what does it matter. My only other complaint is my umbilical hernia, compliments of Alex. I am starting to understand what the doctor meant by "your going to feel it". That I do. Oh well, its all worth it in the end. We went to the doctor today for the first ultrasound and everything looks good and healthy!

Library Playgroup

Theresa gets to take Alex to the library playgroup now that mommy is at work. She took these pictures of Alex yesterday while they were there.
